Bob Bailey, Founding member and 25-year veteran of Rotary, dies

posted 26 Jan 2014, 16:19 by Johan Rondelez
It is with great sadness that the Rotary Club of Strathroy announces the sudden death of another member, Bob (Robert) Bailey.  Bob worked long years as an OPP officer, then OPP detachment manager in Strathroy.  When Bob retired, he wanted to do more becoming one of the founding Charter members of Strathroy Rotary. Being a very active giving member over the club's 25-year history Bob gave his time to countless activities such as the blood donor clinics, VON & MS walks, highway clean-up, treasurer, and much much more.  Recognition of Bob's efforts earned him Rotary's coveted Paul Harris award.

Bob, you will be greatly missed.  The hearts and prayers of Strathroy Rotarians go out to Bob, his wife Marilyn, Children Monica & Jason, and families.

Cremation has taken place.  Visitation will be at Denning Bros. Funeral Home, 32 Metcalfe St. W., Strathroy, on Saturday, February 1, 2014 from 1-3pm.
